The blockchains, stablecoins, wallets, and protocols Decal supports today - plus how partner requests drive what we add next.

Supported Blockchains, Stablecoins & Wallets

Decal is a stablecoin payments platform: merchants can accept blockchain-based payments right at their point of sale, and everyone involved just deals in dollars. This post is the reference for what's underneath that: the blockchains, stablecoins, wallets, and protocols we support today.

You don't need to understand anything about crypto or blockchain to use Decal; the dollars-in, dollars-out experience hides it all. But if you're a partner or integrator building with us, knowing what is and is not support can help you better server your integration and ultimately your customers.

Everything below is what we support today. We are actively adding new stablecoins, wallets, and blockchains on a regular basis. This blog post and our documentation will get updated as new support is added. Partner requests are the biggest driver of what we prioritize. More on that at the end.

Blockchains

Right now, every Decal payment settles on Solana. Our first supported blockchain is Solana for a few practical reasons: it confirms in under a second, network fees are a fraction of a cent, and the stablecoin liquidity is already there. We also cover those network fees ourselves, so nobody - merchant or customer - needs to hold SOL just to move money.

More chains are on the roadmap. The nice part for you: when we add them, nothing about your integration changes. Same dollars-in, dollars-out model, same API. You won't have to rewrite anything to support a new network.

Stablecoins

Stablecoins are the digital assets people actually spend on Decal, and we treat every one of them as a plain digital dollar.

Here's what we support today:

StablecoinNameIssuerBlockchain
USDCUSD CoinCircleSolana
USDTTether USDTetherSolana
USDSUSDSSkySolana
PYUSDPayPal USDPayPalSolana
USDGGlobal DollarPaxosSolana
CASHPhantom CashPhantomSolana

If you need the technical specifics - mint addresses, token programs, decimals - they're all in the Crypto & Blockchain reference in our docs.

Other cryptocurrencies

Today, stablecoins are what fund payments. If a wallet happens to hold other cryptocurrencies, we'll recognize them, but they don't get spent or settled. Broadening that set is on the roadmap, and partner demand will move it up the priority list.

Wallets

Customers pay from a Solana wallet they control. We support any wallet that implements the Wallet Standard, an open specification wallets adopt so web and mobile applications can connect to them in a consistent way.

The popular Solana wallets we support today include:

Once a wallet's connected, its stablecoin balances roll into the customer's Smart Balance, and Decal's Smart Payments automatically determines the optimal tokens to utilize for each payment.

Protocols and standards

Decal supports established Solana standards so your integration stays predictable:

  • SPL Token: the original Solana token program (USDC, USDT, USDS).
  • Token-2022 (Token Extensions): the newer token program with extras like transfer hooks and confidential transfers (PYUSD, USDG, CASH). Supporting it is what lets us take newer issuer-backed stablecoins alongside the classics.
  • Wallet Standard: the wallet-connection spec from the section above.

The best part: you never have to care which token program a given stablecoin uses. We sort that out for you.

Expanding support

Everything above is the current list of what the Decal platform supports today. We're adding more stablecoins, cryptocurrencies, wallets, chains, and protocols on an ongoing basis, and partner requests are the biggest factor in what we build next.

So if there's a specific token, wallet, network, or standard you or your customers need, tell us. Email us at support@usedecal.com or talk to your Decal representative with your use case and we'll talk through where it fits and how soon we can ship it.
